Bay Oaks evolved from the dream of seven professional women in 1947 to provide assisted retirement living in Miami in a gracious home rather than an institutional setting. The board raised funds to construct the home with its distinctive tropical style just a stroll from Biscayne Bay .
Today, each room is individually decorated with antiques and heritage linens, much like a fine Bed & Breakfast. With its lush garden and tropical orchard, porch rockers and tranquil breezeways, personalized service and restaurant-style dining, Bay Oaks provides residents with a truly unique living experience.
Bay Oaks is proud of its heritage of more than 50 years as an all-woman directed charitable organization. The concept of providing residents with caring assistance - while banishing institutional conformity in favor of congenial surroundings - makes it a leader in assisted living.
